Conventional Industrial Gas Plants

We provide engineering services for the following conventional plants:
  • Cryogenic nitrogen generator and nitrogen plant projects producing nitrogen gas and liquids that use air or waste expansion process cycles. (Ultrapure nitrogen can also be handled.)
  • Cryogenic oxygen generator and oxygen plant projects producing oxygen gas and liquids that use air or nitrogen expansion process cycles. (Ultrapure oxygen can also be handled.)
  • Cryogenic air separation plant projects producing nitrogen, oxygen, and argon gases and liquids that use air or nitrogen expansion process cycles.
  • Industrial gas liquefaction units. (We use the conventional nitrogen expansion process cycle for proposing, designing, and reviewing these units. Mixed refrigerant liquefaction cycles are also possible for them.)
  • Argon refineries producing hydrogen, nitrogen, methane, and liquid argon from ammonia plant vent streams.
  • Food-grade liquid carbon dioxide plants fed from amine, fermentation, and ethylene sources. (Other carbon dioxide feed sources have been explored.)
  • Conventional Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) liquefaction peak shaving plants and large exporting LNG plants using the nitrogen expansion cycle or mixed refrigerant cycles.
  • Conventional LNG liquefaction plants utilizing natural gas pressure letdown stations. (We can propose and design such plants. Liquid nitrogen, oxygen, and argon are also possible from such plants. For your reference, see US patent number 6,131,407 dated October 17, 2000.)
  • Liquid oxygen and nitrogen plants utilizing oxygen and nitrogen pipeline pressure letdown stations for liquid production. (For your reference, see US patent number 6,196,021 dated March 6, 2001.)
  • Skimmer liquefaction units that vaporize liquid nitrogen refrigerants to make liquid oxygen or LNG.
  • LNG vaporization facilities that produce liquid nitrogen can also be executed.
